With the recent release of the brand new JB4 for the latets VAG cars (S3, Golf GTi/R, Leon Cupra/Octavia VRS to name a few) we have been inundated with orders. Today was the first time we were able to get the first car on our rolling road to really see what the VAG JB4 is capable of.
This car was completely standard and is the 2.0 TFSI with 230 bhp using 99 ron fuel. After a simple JB4 installation, we ran the car on the dyno in standard form to find the car was producing 250 bhp as standard. On this particular engine, this is extremely common. Multiple dyno tests have showed this. With the JB4 switched to Map 1, the car was producing brilliant power and torque, but because the owner was using 99 ron fuel, it allowed us to use Map 2 which gives better improvements still, as can be seen on the graph below.
Power gained: 68 bhp
Torque gained: 55 ftlb @ 3,700 rpm
