The BMW M135i with the N55 engine is well known for it's standard boost pipes causing issues and cracking. This is why Forge Motorsport brought out a kit which replaces the standard, plastic pipe with a mandrel bent, aluminium piece, connected to a silicone hose providing much more reliable and efficient pipework.
This is exactly what happened to this car. The original boost pipe cracked taking part of the JB4 loom with it. We fixed the wiring on the JB4 loom first of all then replaced the chargepipe with the Forge Motorsport alternative. With the repairs (and upgrade) complete the car went on our dyno for map 6 settings and testing.
