The owner of this Mk7 Volkswagen Golf R has brought this car into us before for installation of the JB1. After enjoying the power increase, he decided to go for the Remus cat-back with the brushed titanium tailpipes with the carbon fibre inlay (our personal favourite) to liven the car up a bit more.
The valve control is still perfectly functional so when the valve is closed, the exhaust sounds only slightly louder than standard. However, with the valve open, it's a different story. Not only is there more volume but the tone of the exhaust changes and it sounds a lot deeper. As well as this, on overrun and gear change, the pops and bangs are incredible.
The owner has since told us he absolutely loves the exhaust and can't get enough of the pops and bangs.
